1. Take latest package of BISWAS & Run setup File, click on Next in setup wizard.
2. Select the Destination Directory for software installation (For example C:/Biswas) click on Next button
3. Select start menu folder, if want to change the default. Then click Next.
4. Select additional tasks if required & click Next.
· Create a Desktop icon
· Create a Quick Launch icon
· Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8
5. Click on Install button to start the installation.
If following error message is shown, click on Ignore button.
An error occurred while trying to read the source file.
The source file “ mdac-typ 2.8 exe” does not exit.
Click retry to try again, ignore to skip this file
(Not recommended) or abort to cancel installation.
Click on Ignore button.
6. Click on ‘Restart The Computer Now’ radio button, and then click on Finish button
Computer shutdown process is aterted automatically & computer reboots.
7. Copy the waterbill.mdb file From CD etc. (where setup file exits) as chosen in step 2.
Running BISWAS first time.
1. Run the BISWAS from Start>Program>BISWAS>BISWAS.
2. If Tip of the day is shown Click on OK.
3. Enter User Name (admin) & Password (admin). Please change initial Password for security reasons.
4. If message shows
Database connection error (mdiConnect) could not find file “C:\biswas\waterbill.mdb”
Open file C\biswas\DBSelectFile.txt in Notepad & set correct path of mdb file, as given below.
DB_Type=MSAccess
MSAccess_Path=.\WaterBill.mdb
Save the File & Exit Notepad. Now run BISWAS again (goto step 1)
5. Installation Screen is displayed.
Enter information about District, Public Health Sun-Division, installation date, and installation site. Click on Save Button.
6. Setting Rural Bill Cycle Form appears. Select current billing cycle & click update button.
7. Now Setting Urban Bill Cycle Form appears. Set urban Bill cycle & click update button.
8. Add New Ward screen is displayed. Enter at least one ward to start working. If need to add town, click on Add button on right side.
9. Now installation is complete, and normal working of BISWAS system may be started.
